Have you ever thought how much we owe to heroic men and women whose names are known only to God? In Hebrews 11 there is a long list of well-known heroes and heroines who conquered by faith, and the list is followed by mentioning “others, of whom the world was not worthy.”
Known and unknown receive the same commendation of “having obtained a good report through faith.”
God requires of us our best whether it brings us into the limelight or not. Many famous people have climbed to honour and renown on the shoulders of humble folk who are forgotten, but our Heavenly Father notes the humblest services and assesses their true value.
