National Heritage Week
This year the Old Meeting House Congregational Church will be open from the 17th – 19th September 2021 as part of National Heritage week.
On Friday the chapel will open at 10 am and close at 4.30 pm. During the day their will, be various organists playing our historic organ. There will be a short talk on the history of the chapel in the morning and again in the afternoon. Refreshments are available as well as toilets.
Saturday follows the same programme except at 3pm there will be a Sing on Saturday to which everyone is invited. Richard Cockaday, the organist from Holy Trinity Church will be playing all the old traditional hymns and the pastor, Dr John Clements will lead the singing and give a short introduction to each hymn, giving details of its history and its meaning.
On the Sunday the chapel will be open from 10 am – 1 pm. At the 3 pm we will be holding our weekly Sunday service to which everyone is welcomed. Refreshments will also be available.
