Old Meeting House Congregational Church (1643)

The Best Hidden Church in Norwich

UNFORTUNATELY THE VISIT OF DR JASON DEES HAS HAD TO BE CANCELLED.

However we are hoping that Tony Francis, a former police detective from Harwich will be giving his testimony.

Last year, 2020 marked the 400th anniversary of the Pilgrim Fathers. Many today know very little about them or about the amazing spiritual heritage they have left. In a most remarkable way God enabled me against all odds to get a book published in Canada last December. The book is titled – Strangers and Pilgrims on the Earth: Remembering the Mayflower Pilgrims, 1620 – 2020.

I am not a historian, I just happen to be pastor to one of the oldest Congregational Chapels in the UK, so writing such a book was beyond me but with the help of Dr Michael Haykin, who is Professor of Church History at the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville Kentucky, and a team of international contributors the book was finally published. I was invited to write the Introduction and to also act as an Editor. The book is available on Amazon, but you can also order a copy from the Old Meeting House’s website

One of the American contributors, Dr Jason Dees, who is the senior pastor at Christ Covenant Church in Atlanta, Georgia will be visiting the Old Meeting House with his family on Sunday 4th July at 3pm. All are welcome and there will be tea and coffee after the meeting.
